How to use Kashiwa Help
Choose what you want to do, and start there.
What would you like to do?
- ◎Open the map
See what is happening nearby
Find published local issues, proposals, decisions and projects on the map.
- Report a local issue
Report something affecting the area
Automated governance publishes allowed issues, marks doubtful issues with a reason, and keeps blocked issues private. There is no human review.
- ?Log in or create an account
Ask for help yourself
Help requests are always private and never sent to a model. Submit from your account.
- +See how to take part
Offer what you can do
Describe knowledge, time, space, materials, or collaboration as an organisation — privately.
- Read public governance
Follow what the area is doing
Read the published path from a local issue through proposals and decisions to projects.
What is published, and what is not
Not published
- Account details
- Personal help requests
- Contribution offers
- Recovery code
- Local issues awaiting automated governance
Visible only to you and the operator.
Published
- Reviewed and published local issues
- Published proposals
- Published decisions
- Published projects
- Aggregate counts containing no individuals
Issues and proposals publish through automated governance; doubtful records carry a marker and reason.
How a problem becomes action
Published records follow this order.
- Local issueA resident reports it; automated governance decides publication.
- ProposalA way to address the published issue, with its evidence.
- DecisionApproved or declined, with the responsible body and the reason.
- ProjectActivity begins only from an approved public decision.
If you need an account
Private steps — asking for help, reporting an issue, offering to contribute — need one.
Sign in safely with a passkey
- A passkey is required to register.
- Your device may use a fingerprint, face, PIN, or security key.
- Biometric data never reaches the Kashiwa Help servers.
Store your recovery code
- It is shown once, after registration.
- Keep it in a password manager or somewhere equally safe.
- Only its hash is stored on the server.
- No email address is held, so losing both this and your password means you cannot get back into that account.
Getting notified
- You can switch notifications on per device, from your account page.
- A notification carries no content. It says an update exists; what it is stays on your account page, behind your session.
- You can switch it off at any time, and closing your account deletes the subscription.
Before you change devices
- You can register several passkeys and name each one.
- Add a second passkey before replacing a device.
- The last passkey cannot be removed.
